Justin Hakuta

Justin Hakuta is a successful businessman and entrepreneur in the United States. He is well-known as the husband of American-based comedian, actress, and writer, Alexandra Dawn “Ali” Wong, popularly known as Ali Wong.

Bio

Justin Hakuta was born on 18^th October 1982 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is the son of Japanese-American inventor and television personality, Ken Hakuta and his wife, Marilou Cantiller. Justin’s father was the host of the television show called “The Dr. Fad Show.” Justin grew up with his two brothers Aki Hakuta and Kenzo Hakuta in a rich family household.

Hakuta has American nationality and mixed ethnicity with Japanese-Filipino ancestry. He has a birth sign, Libra.

Education

Justin is an educated man. He studied at Sidwell Friends from 1994 till 2000. He was involved in an abroad study program for a year in Technologico de Monterrey in cognitive psychology, economics, and Mexican history. Hakuta joined Carnegie Mellon University in 2000 and graduated in 2004 with Bachelor’s degree in Decision Science and a minor in Spanish. He completed his Master’s degree from Harvard Business School in 2011.

Justin has been involved in several fields of business. He has worked as a sales and marketing associate at Honest Tea. He is the co-founder of All Day Buffet and with his team, Hakuta has conducted several events for fundraising. He then worked as a research analyst in Center for Court Innovation for two years in New York. Hakuta further joined the Institute of International Education as a Fullbright scholar for two years and then started his internship at Seventh Generation in marketing.

Hakuta started a new business in 2010 by co-founding a health and wellness finance platform called Avacare. He served as a product lead and manager for 4 years at Avacare and also worked as a product strategist at DIRECTV- Digital Innovation Lab at the same time.

Hakuta then joined Cargomatic Inc as a senior product manager in 2015 and after working for 8 months, he joined as a vice president and young alumni at Harvard Business School Association of Southern California. He then joined GoodRx company in 2016 as a senior product manager and was promoted to vice president of product in 2017.
