Georg Stanford Brown is a Cuban-American actor and director. Georg is best known for his work in the police TV series ‘The Rookies’, where George played Officer Terry Webster, and similarly in the action comedy film ‘Wild in the Sky,’ where he played the lead role.

Georg is also popular in television series such as “Roots: The Next Generations,” movies such as “The Comedians,” “Dayton’s Devils,” “The Man,” “Bullitt,” “Colossus: The Forbin Project,” “Wild in the sky” and many more.

Georg was born on June 24, 1943, in Havana, Cuba, and later moved to America when he was only seven years. George began his acting career in the 1967 political drama film. The Comedians,’ in which he illustrated Henri Philipot, which was one of the main characters. His interest in singing and performing from a young age made him form a musical group as a teenager. After the group dissolved then invested his time in acting and found success in the field.

He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing of a Drama Series for the last episode of the TV series ‘Cagney & Lacey’. In 1968, he was seen in the action-thriller ‘Bullitt,’ which was directed by Peter Yates. It was based on the 1963 novel name ‘Mute Witness.’ He was portrayed as Dr. John Fisher. 


In the 1970 science fiction movie ‘Colossus: The Forbin Project, which was directed by Joseph Sargent. The film was about an American defense system named Colossus, which surprisingly becomes sentient. In the year 1972, he played the role of the action-comedy film ‘Wild in the Sky.

And In 1977, Georg had a main role in the TV miniseries ‘Roots,’ and that show earned much popularity and won a Golden Globe and a Peabody Award. In 1980, George starred in the TV movie ‘The Night the City Screamed,’ after which he appeared in another movie named ‘The Jesse Owens Story’ in the year 1984.
