Rima Horton is an English politician and former councilor of the Labour Party at Kensington and Chelsea London Borough Council. She is well-known as the wife of late English actor and director, Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman, popularly known as Alan Rickman. Her husband was a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and was a Tony Award nominee for his Broadway performance.

In 1986, Rima Horton was elected as a councilor of the Labour Party in The Kensington and Chelsea London Borough Council. She served in the party for 20 years. She lost the position in 2006 and since then Rima tried two times but failed to gain the position back. Rima then started working at Kingston University as a senior economics lecturer and retired in 2012.

Apart from being an active hardworking woman, Rima was also highly participative in charities. She has also served at The Making Place on a board of directors. Additionally, Rima was also a board of trustees of Gate Theatre.
