Trevante Rhodes is an American actor well-known for his lead role in the Oscar Award-winning film “Moonlight.” He has also played critical roles in the movie “Bird Box” and “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.”

Apart from being an amazing actor, Rhodes is also a gold medalist in the 2009 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. In addition, he has also won several awards and nominations for his acting role.

 Trevante Rhodes was born on 10th February 1990 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, United States. His full name is Trevante Nemour Rhodes and he is the son of Jessi Rhodes and Demour Dangelo Rhodes. Rhodes grew up with his brother, Giovanni Rhodes.

At the age of 10, Rhodes moved to Little Elm, Texas. He was a sports child from a young age. Growing up in the United States, Rhodes has American nationality and black ethnicity.

Trevante Rhodes was educated at Little Elm High School. Since high school, he used to play football and has played alongside the professional player Cole Beasley. Rhodes was among the best player while in high school, but he left his football career due to his ACL injury.
