He then made small appearances in other tv series, EZ Streets, Kelly Kelly, Promised Land, One World, and others finally landed the main role in Opposite Sex alongside Lisa Kudrow and Johnny Galecki in 2000. But he gained public attention only after his recurring roles in Gilmore Girls where he portrayed the character of Jess Mariano. In 2004, he landed another major role in American Dreams as Chris Pierce, and the following year, he played a major role in the American drama tv series, The Bedford Diaries as Richard Thorne III.
